As he races forward, the boy’s cape flaps in the wind, symbolizing his yearning to fly and rise above his circumstances.
 
Chasing the Moon is a metaphor for children who, too often, are forced to grow up too quickly. They are propelled by a desire to rescue themselves or their families from the fears and challenges that weigh them down. This piece reflects the inner strength of children who try to protect those they love, even when they may not yet fully understand the magnitude of the battle they face.
